Should Bangkok be the Next ‘City that Never Sleeps’

About a month ago, a new shopping mall opened up in Bangkok. While this is nothing new for the city, Samyan Mitrtown advertises a unique zone that operates 24 hours every day. This zone includes chain stores that already operate 24/7, some small retail stores and a large co-working area. All of this was put into the development of Samyan Mitrtown in order to promote learning with the concept of an “Urban Life Library”. The question is whether this 24/7 model is the future of urbanization? If so, how sustainable is it and what does it mean for society?
